Who we are?
We are media people. We come from the environment of “Gazeta Wyborcza”, a newspaper established in 1989 during socio-political transformations as an outlet of the democratic opposition against totalitarian governments. We believe that the world cannot do without reliable journalism. Information is a priceless value that cannot be underestimated in a world where political and economic dictators deluge us with lies. Information that does not divide but brings us together. Information that shows different points of view without spreading hate. Information that builds solidarity between women and men. Information that recognizes people who do not adhere to conservative norms: LGBTQ+ community, people with disabilities, representatives of the full spectrum of walks of life, religions, and political views. Information that does not spread fear but allows us to regain balance and believe that this world is indeed a great place to be alive. Information that promotes social trust. Information that shows how to become engaged in changing the world.
Today, the media must seek to be a partner of the people rather than the fourth power. A partner of civil society, politicians, activists, companies, public institutions, effectively, each and every individual person. The media is you. Free media today is cooperation, not competition. The media, for which democracy, human rights, tolerance, freedom of expression are important, cooperate, do not compete. We are convinced that in the face of threats and difficulties in Poland and in the world, this is the best way. Cooperation between the media is more important than a competitive race.
Cooperation Is A New Competition
Free media today is about collaboration, not competition. A media that values democracy, human rights, tolerance, and freedom of speech must cooperate rather than compete. They are liberated from the constraints of economics, politics, and various Internet bubbles. That's why we established the Media Liberation Foundation – to support valuable initiatives and projects wherever they originate. We believe that together, we can achieve more. We are sure that this is the best way to proceed in the face of threats and difficulties in Poland and around the world. Cooperation between media outlets is more important than cannibalistic competition. We also believe that the circle of institutions, companies, and private investors supporting quality journalism will continue to grow. As the Media Libeartion Foundation, we will also create our own media and social projects to make the world a better place. We also believe that circle of institutions, companies, and private investors supporting quality journalism.
"There will be no truly free Poles, Czechs or Hungarians without free Ukrainians, Belarusians or Lithuanians..."

Our projects
Sestry
Ukrainian online magazine, where experienced journalists write about current affairs and together with readers and leaders of different backgrounds look for support and new meanings in a very unstable world. Its hallmark is high-quality author's journalism. However, its strongest side is people.
First prize of Sestry.eu: “Portraits of the Sisterhood”.
The editors of the magazine honored women who, since the outbreak of the Great War, have made an invaluable contribution to the struggle for democracy and freedom. For two years in a row, Polish and Ukrainian women walked hand in hand, helping each other and inspiring each other. History shows that in times of great upheaval, the role of women becomes crucial. “The combined voice of Polish and Ukrainian women has the power to change the world for the better,” said Vasyl Zvarych, Ambassador of Ukraine in Poland.
